We are the first generation who truly understands that the world our children grow up in, will be vastly different from our own. How we overcome the challenges of our time will make the difference between in a world in which we tolerate, and a world in which we prosper!
As we stand at the edge of a new world, there exists a sense of fear, anticipation and anxiety regarding the seemingly unfamiliar but not too distant future. A new period in human history in which we have a chance to get back to basics and redefine policies, dramatically improve lives, close the gap between rich and poor, reinvigorate democracy and build a better world for all of us. It’s not about saving the environment, but rather about saving ourselves who just so happens to rely upon the environment for our very existence.
But the way the challenges of our time have been communicated is wrong. It shames, demonisers, creates feelings of guilt, hopelessness and anxiety. One World is not about laying blame or pointing fingers, the One World Ecosystem examines values and beliefs that support sustainability efforts in a positive and constructive way. The challenges are great, but they are all solvable.
One World is not able being right or wrong. We all depart for the future from different locations depending on our circumstances, our culture and out location on planet Earth. However, our destination is the same for all of us… a better world for all. There are no right or wrong answers, just a deeper understanding of the world around us!
The One World Framework will inspire and add value to anyone who:
- Feels like they are living through a period of change.
- Who is uncertain about the future.
- Who wants to make the world a better place.
Sustainability means different things to different people. The One World Framework presents sustainability in an easy to understand and universal way that creates a baseline for sustainability objectives and targets.
The foundations of the One World Framework are based upon the One World Book. This framework is communicated through the One World Ecosystem: A collection of presentations, training materials, workshops and experiences that teach the principles of One World.
